Ink on pillow case? ?
I had a small tattoo done on Friday, its on the back of my neck and is three characters long.
I’ve followed the instructions for after care and bought the cream that was recommend.
However waking up this morning I had some black ink like substance on my pillow. I’ve looked at the tattoo and it appears to have no gaps or visible bits missing.
It was my first tattoo and im just wondering whether this ink on my pillow is normal or whether I may need to revisit the studio.

most all the answers are right by saying this is normal. but i will go a bit further as to why this is normal. remember how the ink was but in. by a needle covered with ink. this ink covered needle passed through the layers of your skin (epidermis) to eventually reach the top layer of the dermis. the ink will rest in place in the dermis layer but your bodies naturally healing will push out the foreign substance (in this case ink) out of the epidermis layers. this is the ink you are finding on your pillow and this is the ink that is in your scabs. this is also why you tattoo my look milky once the first scabbing faze is done. because the epidermis layers are healing and the ink underneath this healing skin is obstructed and looks milky. this will pass and you will have a good looking piece.
