How can I tell the difference between my Paasche-VL airbrush needles / tips?
Hey everyone,
I just purchased a Paasche VL airbrush and it came with 1 needle installed inside the gun and 2 other needles just in the box as well as corresponding air caps / tips.
The problem I have is determining which size each needle is and which air cap goes with each needle.
How can I tell?
I’m looking to use the one that will spray the thickest paint as possible.
Look at the back of the needle. You’ll see a series of rings cut around it The fine needle will have one ring. The medium, three rings, and the large (the one you want) will have five. The crown caps will have the same rings cut into them. As far as the actual nozzles (cones) go, you just have to compare the openings. It’s really easy to see the difference.
The old ones actually had the numbers stamped on them and were really hard to read. The ring system is much better.
