how can I make a AM antenna?
I would like to know how to make a twin coil antenna or how to better my reception to my am radio. Thanks.
Most steros I’ve seen have FM antenna connectors on the back but not AM. Most AM antennas are internal to the device. If you’ve ever seen the inside of any AM/FM radio, the AM antenna is the little thing that looks like a bar, wrapped tightly with a coil of copper wire. You would have to disconnect the original antenna and then reconnect your new antenna to the same leads. (Not an easy process, but it could be done.) Sometimes you can better your AM reception by moving the device around a bit, (twist, turn, lay on its side) fine for your portable, but not really feasable with your home stereo system. There are AM boosters you can buy to increase your AM reception. Do a little online shopping for info. Also, do an internet search for building your own AM antenna and I’m sure you’ll find something.
